I have see all the castles, but I want to do something that most people don't know about, or that is a very local thing to do? Not necessarily even a tourist attraction.

A short drive from Glasgow is Falkirk and the boat lift built for the Milennium Link, called "The Falkirk Wheel".

It replaces 11 locks and is a truly amazing piece of equipment - the only rotating boat lift in the World. It's actually more exciting to watch than to go in it because you have no sensation of movement on a boat which is being lifted up to the Union canal.

Depend's what you are really looking for - If you are wanting to go to the pubs and nightclubs at night, i would recommend going to the Campus, its sort of a cheesy pub but its good banter full of students and no fighting!! its open at 10am till 3am and its very cheap drink!

if you are wanting to go to a nightclub i would say you should try the garage - its a good nightclub once again full of students and open till 3am, you can get free passes ;)

If you are into sports we have to football teams in glasgow - Rangers and Celtic..rangers are the current holders and tickets for these clubs are around £29 - £35 depending on who they are playing...i recommend rangers..just because i support them :P

There is really good food in glasgow so you wont be short on anything from good dinning to a good kebab

there is great places to visit in glasgow from the retail to even going to smaller towns like Hamilton - which is a great place to go to! its bright the town is really nice and there is a country park with scotlands only theme park, you can do all kind of sports and take in the atmosphere and the attractions

Best thing about glasgow its a whole can of attractions! if your into art and architecture, just look up! monuments and the building structure are amazing.. if your into music just open a window and hear all kinds of music or even hit the comedy club which is in the centre!!

The choice is yours! :)

Glasgow is rather disappointing.

There are few old buildings except for the dark 13th century cathedral. It is a building that is not appreciated enough by Glaswegians.

Stardust is right, Glasgow is the best place in Scotland for 'gigs' (Forget the Campsies, Loch Lomond is much nicer).

The main tourist attractions in Glasgow are Kelvingrove Museum & Gallery (World Class!), The Burrell collection, Pollock House, and the transport museum. and a good collection of Victorian buildings.

The pubs are no better than anywhere else.

A trip down the Clyde is fun, especially if the paddle steamer 'Waverley' is running.

I would rather go to Edinburgh.

Go a speedboat trip down the Clyde. http://www.seaforce.co.uk/

Take off from the Clyde on Europe's only City Centre Seaplane service. http://www.lochlomondseaplanes.com/

Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, offers fabulous shopping, crowded pubs and clubs and terrific restaurants. Art lovers will also find plenty to capture their imagination, as the city is home to more than 30 galleries and museums, including the world famous Burrell Collection and Saint Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art. Naturally it is also possible to visit the coast from Glasgow or discover the rich history of the region by exploring neighbouring cities and villages.
